    For a stunning festive tipple in just three days, crush the strawberries with a fork or potato masher and spoon into a large, clean wide-necked glass bottle.

    Add the caster sugar and gin, seal and shake gently to mix. Leave at room temperature for three days, shaking gently twice a day, then strain, decant and decorate.
