Fruity Granola Topping
This easy-to-make granola is just 74p a portion, and is lovely over fruit as shown, on yoghurt or even ice cream!
Ingredients
- 50g butter
- 5 tbsp honey
- 100g oats
- 50g raisins
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 50g chopped nuts (eg walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts)
- fresh fruit salad and/or yoghurt, to serve
How To Cook
- Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6. Melt the butter and honey in a saucepan then stir in the remaining ingredients.
- Pour into a roasting tin and bake for around 10 minutes until golden. Cool slightly before breaking up into small clusters. Then allow to cool completely.
- To serve, fill a bowl with fresh fruit salad and sprinkle over the top. If you prefer, layer with yoghurt, or fruit and yoghurt, for an elegant snack that goes down a treat.
- Alternatively, store the granola in a screwtop jar until needed and use whenever you want a little extra crunch. You can even sprinkle over ice-cream for a deliciously unusual pud www.wholegraingoodness.com
