 Moving in with my meat-eating boyfriend
Okay, so my boyfriend and I are moving out together in June. I'm veggie and he's definitely not.
How can I work around this? I come from a 'mixed household', I'm used to seeing meat in the fridge (but I don't cook it and don't wash up meaty pans). Any advice from anyone who's been in a similar situation?
I'm stressing more about this than any other part of moving out together lol!

Hi Cheese on Toast
I used to live with a non-veggie and he was really understanding about it. I think it probably helped that I was the one doing all the cooking! I always consulted him on food and we ate a filling, meat-free meal every single day, and he never once complained. He bought free-range organic ham for his lunchtime sarnies, so he was still getting some meat, and didn't feel deprived at dinner. And of course when we ate out he always ordered steak! Think I was pretty lucky there. I've had other boyfs where I've allocated a 'meaty' pan for them to do their fry-ups in. I think you need to sit down together and talk about it.

You can do your trip enjoyable with compromise. Every restaurant has both food for vegetarians and non vegetarian. You should talk with your friend frankly without hesitation and order your dish separately.
