what an amazing prize!
This is a tough one as I love cooking all types of food, and particularly enjoy cooking for others. A dish that always goes down well, and can be varied for the occasion is my mushroom, goats cheese and nut wellington, with a creamy white wine sauce, seasonal veg and special roasted potatoes. It is quite time consuming to make but it is definitely worth it.... you can also substitute the white wine sauce for a red onion gravy to offer a variation on a Sunday roast, or substitute the roast potatoes for dauphinoise potatoes. :-)

I would usually go for something like a puy lentil moussaka or butternut squash lasagne...both firm favourites with both meat eaters and veggies

It depends on the time of year, but my omnivore rest of family LOVE it when at a gathering my ‘bring a dish’ dishes are my Six Bean Chilli and Camargue Red Rice Salad with Feta and Rocket. My nieces love the chilli and wolf it down with a piece of garlic bread to dip in!

What do you cook for guests?
I like to cook simple dishes with a twist to make them really tasty and to also present them in a beautiful way (feed the eyes!). One of my favourite dishes to cook for guests is Grilled Hake served on top of a fried polenta cake with a tasty tamarind and tomato sauce, spiced with zingy ginger for a warming glow! Paired with a lovely white wine it's really yummy, but different.

This is a difficult one as a lot of my friends are avid meat eaters, but they do enjoy the roasted vegetable salad with harissa and cous cous also the time of year makes a difference as in the winter a mushroom moussaka or a veg style shepherds pie goes down a treat. Lots of fresh veg from the garden and home made veggie soups are good favourites

I love to surprise people with vegetarian food and show it can taste
One of my favourites for Summer is pea, broad bean, asparagus and lemon risotto with some parmesan cheese
For Winter a fabulous bean chilli with home made garlic flat breads and a selection of dips like Baba Ganoush, Creamy Avocado and Garlic and Sour Cream
