The best thing is when people say we can't be healthy without eating meat, I can tell them that I haven't eaten animal products in over 30 years and I'm doing very nicely thank you! I know some people miss bacon, but the synthetic stuff is good, and you could try Baconnaise or Bacon Salt (Bacon Salt) for that smoky flavour.

The best thing about being vegetarian (other than the obvious) is being able to digest all you food so much better

The worst thing is the lack of choice in many restaurants, and asking friends to make special arrangements for you if you get invited to dinner.

To be in with a chance of winning, simply tell us what the best or the worst part of being vegetarian is. There's no right or wrong answer!

Going to a friends or family for a meal and feeling guilty that they've had to prepare a dish especially for me. And also wondering what they've put in it "Sssshhhh, what she doesn't know won't hurt her"

Definitely the lack of choice when eating out - usually one unimaginative option compared to loads for meat eaters! Also when eating out at friends / family's places when they haven't got a clue. The first year I went to my inlaws house for Christmas they gave me just the vegetables & no vegetarian alternative at all! I was really surprised not to be offered even an egg or something for protein!

The best part is trying new recipes, love cooking! The worst part is the limited choice when going out for meals with friends.
