My bestest knife! It's not wildly expensive - was from Ikea, but it sharpens well, and is the best I;ve ever hjad for chopping really finely - some of my soups barely need blending these days!

It would have to be my slow cooker. I am a busy mum of 2 fussy eaters, a husband who works late and I am a vegetarian. So often I have to prepare 4 different meals. With the slow cooker I make a tasty sauce without meat and leave it ready to feed the children at 5, myself at 7 and my hubbie at 8. I simply add the main that they prefer from quorn to beef. Happy and full family!

My window sill Herb Garden. Makes the kitchen smell lovely and I can easily add whichever herb I like to my recipes.

I couldn't be without spices in my kitchen and my James Martin Spice blender is my must have gadget, excellent for mixing my own spice blends, I do love a curry.

I love my chopping board for prepping and making sandwiches. Helps to keep all the mess off the bench.

My sandwich toaster! I'm especially grateful for it in the winter - when I come home, starving hungry I can whack a sandwich in the sandwich toaster and minutes later I have a hot, quick meal. It's great for using up leftovers and stale bread too - just yesterday I used up a slightly stale panini and a left over cooked chicken breast to make a delicious hot chicken and pesto panini. Yum!

I couldn't live without my breadmaker. I love it, the bread is so much better and I can control the ingredients.
