I think it is easier to stay at home, its cheaper and you don't have to worry so much about the kids misbehaving!

I prefer to cook at home, because I love cooking and I enjoy home cooking. I'm always rather disappointed when I eat out!

I think it's harder, because in order to eat out you have to earn the extra money to pay for the meal! I'd rather work less & eat at home. Not to mention choosing where to go, what to wear, what to eat, whether to have dessert, whether to go dutch, how much to tip and how to get home! ;-)

Both options have their pros and cons. It's always nice to have someone else cook for you and do the dishes, but you have less control over the quality and selection of the ingredients (which can be an issue if you are on a restrictive diet of any sort). OTOH, eating at home is better value for money and easier with small children - but more labour intensive.

Eating in definitely. There is a huge variety of ingredients available at the supermarket these days and when you add it all up it's much cheaper than eating out. Also you can pay for a quality bottle of wine at a much cheaper price than you would at a restaurant (no corkage to pay). You can drink as much or as little as you can save the bottle for another day and you don't have to worry about driving home. If the kids don't finish what they have on their plate, you don't feel as if you've wasted a lot of money and any leftovers can be had the following day. Also, you don't have to worry about not being able to book a table for exactly when you'd like because at home you can eat whenever you want.

Eating out as you get to try new recipes you'd never have thought of otherwise and can then try and recreate them at home.

easier to eat out, no cooking, no shopping, no preparing, no washing up and no burning the food! i love being able to choose something scrumptious from the menu and eating it all up.

Much easier to eat out, nicer as well. Also none of the hassle cleaning up afterwards!
